Insanely Delicious Hummus

Creamy, dreamy, and better than anything store-bought
Makes ~2 ½ cups

Ingredients

  • 2 cup cooked chickpeas

  • 1/2 cup tahini

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • 3–4 garlic cloves (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • Salt + pepper to taste

  • 2 ice cubes

  • Dried mint and/or red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Blend the base
Add chickpeas, tahini, garlic, cumin, lemon juice, maple syrup, salt, and pepper to a blender or food processor. Blend until it starts to come together.

  2. Create that creamy texture
Once partially smooth, add in 2 ice cubes.
This is the secret—it transforms the texture into that ultra-creamy, whipped consistency.

  3. Blend until silky
Continue blending until smooth and fluffy. Taste and adjust salt, lemon, or garlic as needed.

  4. Serve + finish
Spoon into a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with dried mint (or paprika if you prefer).

This is one of those staples you’ll come back to weekly. Clean ingredients, full of healthy fats and plant-based protein—and endlessly versatile. Once you start making your own, it’s hard to go back.
